Frame walls
They are characterized by lightness and assembly speed, which translates into lower costs and shorter implementation time. Their construction is based on steel or wooden profiles, filled with mineral wool, and the cover is made of plasterboards. Studded walls offer good insulation properties, but their load capacity is limited to 30 kg. This can make it difficult to assemble heavy shelves or cabinets. In order to increase strength, gypsum-fiber or wood-based boards can be used. Better sound insulation can be achieved by using wider frame profiles. Mineral wool of the appropriate thickness will also work, but it may affect the weight of the partition.
Masonry walls
Brick walls are solid and allow for the assembly of heavy elements, such as cabinets or shelves with books. However, they are heavier than stud walls, which can be a challenge for the ceiling. The disadvantage of the brick technology is the longer implementation time and the need to use special anchors for mounting elements on thin walls made of aerated concrete or hollow bricks.
